What: Rehearsal and Photo Day
Who: ALL Mover/Mighty Concert Classes ONLY. Tweens, Youth, Preteen, Inter, Senior, Adult.
- Students will be rehearsing their routines in their costumes and preparing for the concert stage
- Students will be in full costume, hair and make-up and take their photos for their photo package as part of your all-inclusive instalments. This will include an individual photo and a group photo for each routine students are in
Where: Maxi-Jazz Dance Studio, 42 Stenhouse Drive, Cameron Park
Students are to arrive at the specified times below:
- Opening Dance Rehearsal: 10:30am – 11:30am
- Tweens (Jazz and Lyrical/Contemp, Hip Hop and Pom): 11:00am – 3:00pm
- Youth (Jazz and Lyrical/Contemp, Hip Hop and Pom): 11:00am – 3:00pm
- Preteens (Jazz and Lyrical/Contemp, Hip Hop and Pom): 11:00am – 3:00pm
- Inters (Jazz and Lyrical/Contemp, Hip Hop and Pom): 1:00pm – 5:00pm
- Seniors (Jazz and Lyrical/Contemp, Hip Hop and Pom): 1:00pm – 5:00pm
- Adults (Jazz and Lyrical/Contemp, Hip Hop and Pom): 2:00pm – 5:00pm
- Movers (Tap): 11:00am – 3:00pm
- Movers (Ballet): 11:00am – 3:00pm
- Mighty (Tap): 1:00pm – 4:30pm
- Mighty (Ballet): 1:00pm – 4:30pm
We will be running a finale for all students during the photo day to allow students the time to practise the finale with everyone on stage, directions, sections and bows.
What to pack/take/wear and remember?
- Our professional photographer from Emily Stoddard Photography, as well as the MJDS Team will be at this rehearsal taking group and individual photos of all students in every costume. This rehearsal will also include a practice in your costumes.
- You must arrive with your first costume on and complete hair and make-up. ALL costumes are to be brought along with you. What makeup/hair stocking requirements do I need? MJDS Performance Requirements for Concerts (PUBLIC)
- Please make sure you have something to cover your costume (Maxi-Jazz Jacket or a dressing gown or a MJDS Baseball jersey) do NOT walk around (especially outside) with just your costume on.
- Due to the large number of students and photos, our running time may be slightly delayed, despite all staff’s best effort to keep things moving as quickly as possible. We have allowed extra time for all groups for unexpected delays and if we are running earlier or later than stated above we will advise parents via our Family Facebook Group to be collected at a newly proposed time.
