2024 Dads’ DANCE!

This year we are so pleased to announce that MJDS will be having a Dads’ Dance at each of our Concerts. The Dads dance is a wonderful opportunity for Dads’ to spend quality time by sharing their Dancer’s love of dance in a special memorable performance. Dads will learn a number that they will perform at the Concert with their dancer on stage at the Jesmond Callaghan College Auditorium during one of the concerts either on Friday 22nd November or Saturday 23rd November. We have a limit of 10 dads and students per concert.

This year we will hold a separate rehearsal on Sunday 3rd November at the below times at the studio where a maximum of 10 dads & daughters per concert will learn their dance number for our upcoming concert, our 37th Dance Explosion. Please note that you are also required for the concert day to be able to perform your dance.

If you would like to be apart of this opportunity, all you need to do is pay a fee of $60 from our Additional Routine Trybooking link below which covers the rehearsal time, food and refreshments, choreography, Custom T Shirt, and a Google Drive with videos to watch and practice at home AND a copy of the performance filmed by the MJDS Team on the Concert Day. Please note when you purchase the ticket it will ask for your shirt size, please provide this so we can arrange the custom T Shirt design to be done. If your student is MINI age (Ages 3-6) then you will be in a Mini Concert.

• If you purchase a FRIDAY Dads’ Dance Ticket, please ensure you purchase Friday Concert Tickets when they go on sale on Thursday 24th October. This is so you can come out of the audience and your family can watch!
• If you purchase a SATURDAY Dads’ Dance Ticket, please ensure you purchase Saturday Concert Tickets when they go on sale on Thursday 24th October. This is so you can come out of the audience and your family can watch!
• Rehearsal: Sunday 3rd November: 9:00am – 11:00am (both shows are at the same rehearsal).

If your student is a MOVER/MIGHTY age (7+) then you will be in a Mover/Mighty Concert.

• If you purchase a SATURDAY MATINEE Dad’s Dance Ticket, please ensure you purchase Saturday Matinee Concert Tickets when they go on sale on Thursday 24th October. This is so you can come out of the audience and your family can watch!
• If you purchase a SATURDAY EVENING Dad’s Dance Ticket, please ensure you purchase Saturday Evening Concert Tickets when they go on sale on Thursday 24th October. This is so you can come out of the audience and your family can watch!
• Rehearsal: Sunday 3rd November: 11:30am – 1:30pm (both shows are at the same rehearsal).
